Due to lack of brainpower at the moment, this post will be about writing. Specifically, my writing and how it's going. I'm officially halfway done with my second round of edits on my contemporary YA manuscript, and I cannot wait for it to be over with. Not that I don't enjoy working on it, I'm just a little overwhelmed. I feel like I've been editing forever, and I still can't get things how I want them and I still have a few unwritten scenes. And to be truthfully honest, I'm very tired of these characters. Very. I'm beyond ready to put them to rest for a while once I get everything completely finished. Which should be soon, God willing.
I've started a new project and I'm pretty excited about. Well actually, it's an old project I'm revamping. After talking with some of my crit partners I realized I've been looking at my historical a bit wrong, so it's now a Dystopian Time Travel. My friends call it my Terminator meets Gone with the Wind book. I'm actually really really excited about it, it's just a big undertaking. I've got maybe 7K written on it and done a lot of brainstorming, and I think it's going to have to be written as multiple books. It's just too big of a story to fit into one. This is the first multi-book project I've ever attempted so it's a little out of my comfort zone, but I'm ok with it. For now.
I have also started my query letter which I will hopefully be sending to agents as soon as I finish my edits on the contemporary. Took me a few hours yesterday to get it to make sense and I still have a lot of polishing to do on it, but at least the bones are there. I can honestly say I'd rather write a novel than a query letter. Also I hate writing bios. Give me made up people to talk about any day, but myself? I'm so... boring. I have no idea what to say to make me sound interesting and cool. Maybe I should make stuff up. (This can ONLY END WELL.)
