Supernatural Summer tour stop in Dallas

My friend Jennifer and I decided to make the trip to Dallas for the Supernatural Summer tour stop. It was a long four hour drive (there and back) but it was so worth it to be able to meet Kim Harrison, Ellen Schreiber, Aprilynne Pike, and Kimberly Derting! These ladies were super nice and funny! I'd drive eight hours to see them again in a heartbeat. I'm always amazed when I meet honest-to-goodness published authors and see that they're really normal (Well, as normal as us writerly types can be!) people like you and me. I'm always a little humbled to meet authors who have gotten published authors who honestly love what they do and are so down-to-earth. It makes me smile and helps me realize there may be hope for me one day, too.

Here's a few pictures from the Q&A and signing I wanted to share:

Sadly, I do not have signed books to give away. I simply couldn't afford to buy extra books. I'm super bummed about this, and I am sorry, dear readers. However, I did pick up some extra swag to give away! *muppet arms*

I have one signed poster of The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting, as well as a flower button and flower bracelet from Aprilynne Pike to give away to one of YOU. *more muppet arms*

Contest Rules:
* To enter, simply comment on this blog post!

* While I'd love for you to follow my blog or Twitter, I want you to follow me because you like what I have to say, not because I make following a requirement, so no following is required to participate!

* This contest is INTERNATIONAL!

* PLEASE leave your email address in your comment so I can get in touch with you. No email address = no entry! :(

* Contest will end at Midnight CST on Friday, June 11th and a winner will be announced on Saturday June 12th. (Possibly on Sunday depending on what my work schedule is like that weekend.)
I had a family emergency and had to go out of town unexpectedly, so I've extended the contest. It will now end on Monday June 14th at Midnight CST!.

* To pick a winner, I will put everyone's name in a hat (or bowl or something) and draw a name from there.

* If your name is chosen, I will email you the good news. You will have 48 hours to respond with your address before I have to choose another winner.

Good luck, everyone!!!

The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, 224 pages

3.

Totals for May:
5 Books
5 Authors
1,689 Pages

Year to Date:
26 Books

8,079 Pages

A pretty average month for me, I'd say. I haven't read in almost a week. Spirit Bound was such an amazing read that I needed a while to process everything that happened, so now I'm currently trying to decide what to read next. Thoughts? Suggestions? What did you read this month?
